Since its very origin, Al-Hira Educational society Nepal is genuinely dedicated, among other noble endeavors, to serve the holy Book of Allah and raise the overall level of Qur'anic performance through the following:

• Motivating the younger generations to stick tightly to their religion and realize their duties towards their faith and Islamic mission.

• Creating a spirit of competition in the field of memorizing the Holy Quran and encouraging more effort and time for memorization, recitation, understanding and interpretation.

• Honoring the elite memorizers of the Holy Quran.

• Highlighting the Islam-friendly face of the country and emphasizing its role in serving the people who practice the Islamic faith, boosting Islamic values and the importance of its role in life.

• Honoring personalities and organizations that have been serving for Islam via any means to the country in a distinguished manner.

Given the impact it has on Muslims all across the country, Al-Hera Educational Society Nepal has been holding local and national competitions for several consecutive years. Like the previous ones, for the first round, the local competitions were held in five of the seven states, one after the other, on different dates this year, and then run  the final round, God willing, In the form of the national competition that was scheduled to take place on Saturday 20 October 2023 in the grand hall of the Islamic Cultural Center, Balkhu located in the capital of the Republic, Kathmandu, under the patronage of the Nepal Development Society and implemented by the Al-Hira Educational Society. Going through the strong competition between the contestants, 14 contestants got finally qualified to participate in the national competition from various corners of the Republic out of the contestants who had previously been proven to excel and took part in  the local level contests, these shortlisted participants are as follows : 1- Zakaullah  Muhammad Abbas, Madrsa Dar Al Uloom Al-Suffah,Kaptan Gunj Sunsari 2- Mahbub Khan Sobdal Khan, Madarsa Qasimia Ghuski Sunsari 3- Sheikh Moazzam Qari Anjar, Madarsa Dar Al Uloom Hidayat al-Islam Enarwa Sunsari 4- Sarfraz Alam Fairuz alam, Madarsa Dar Al Uloom Kaptan Gunj Sunsari 5- Qutbullah Azahar Hussein, Madrasa Tul-Al-Falah private School Kumyahi Sunsari 6- Thana Allah Muhammad Ishaq, Madarsa Iqraa for Quran Memorization Raj Biraj7- Habibullah Ansari syril Ansari,Jamia Sabeel Al-Falah  Rautahat 8- Kalam al-Din Mia Hadith Mia,Madarsa Islamiia Jitpur Bara 9- Wakil Akhtar Abdullah Madarsa Da'wa wa Al-Taghlib Rautahat 10- Muhammad Masoud Mujibur Rahman Salafi,Jamia Muhammadiyah Gallah Mandi Bhairhuwa Rupandehi 11- Salem Musalamin Muti' Al-Zaman,Madarsa Dar Al-Furqan for Quran Memorization, Markaj Al-Tawheed,Dumra Kapilwastu 12- Amer Mia Abdul Rahman, Jamia Al-Iman Chitwan13- Dilshad Khan Isa,Madarsa Islamia Fayd Al-Uloom Beny Ghat 14- Nazre Alam Zafar Alem, Madarsa Islamia Fayd Al-Uloom Beny Ghat.

The top three contestants that emerged victorious in this national competition out of the above mentioned fifteen ones: Habibullah Ansari syril Ansari,Jamia Sabeel Al-Falah  Rautahat, first position, Dilshad Khan Isa,Madarsa Islamia Fayd Al-Uloom Beny Ghat, second position, Salem Musalamin Muti' Al-Zaman,Madarsa Dar Al-Furqan for Quran Memorization, Markaj Al-Tawheed,Dumra Kapilwastu, third position.

The task of convenering of the program was carried out by Brother Abbas Chaudhari while the opening of the competition began with a melodious recitation for a couple of verses from the Holy Quran to the audience and the panel of judges, this was done by His Eminence the reciter Sheikh Abdul Wahab, teacher of the the Madarsa Qasmia Ghuski Sunsari. On this occasion, the Secretary General of al-Hira, Sheikh Mohammed Salman Al-Miftahi,in his capacity as the General Supervisor of the competition, expressed his thanks and regards, appreciation and gratitude to each of the participants, their parents and officials Islamic madarsas. He pointed out that the competition comes as an extension of the motivation done by this sublime society to the new generations of Muslims under study in various Islamic institutions in order to compete honestly in the act of memorizing and reciting the Holy Quran. The Secretary General of the movement, Islami Sangh Nepal Sheikh Athar Ali Al-Falahi welcomed all the attendees in the competition.

The competition then began to run up until the presunset according to the following rules and criteria:

1. The questions are placed in sealed mini-envelopes available on the dice and the contestant should select on his own one of the envelopes containing the three questions and delivers it to the head of the jury.

2. Each contestant will be asked three questions in sequence to read for each a full page of the Holy Quran, the beginning of the question will be determined by the committee.

3. The total grades are broken-down as follows: Memorization:60% pronunciation and tajwid: 20%: 20% for rhythm and intonation.

4. Alert is indicated via a bell for a mistake made by the contestant.

5. The bell alert is a maximum of two times (if necessary) in case of error. Each warning shall be deducted a quarter of a number, and if it is not rectified, it shall be continued and a number shall be deducted from it.

6. If the contestant corrects his mistake before alerting him, or if the correction coincides with the warning, nothing is deducted from it.

7- Every mistake in the stoppage or the pick up that changes the meaning shall be deducted by half a number.

8. If the contestant does not answer three questions, he will be exempted from the rest of the questions.

9. The number of position winners is limited to the top three in this competition.

The result of the competition came out shortly before sunset. taking advantage of the presence of a large number of competitors and audience in the hall, the President of Health Services and Relief Association (HeSRA)

His Eminence Ghulam Rasool Al-Falahi asked God Almighty, the best of the conquerors, to open between the oppressed and the innocent and between the massacre culprit, Jews and he urged Muslims to be united for the cause of Palestine and the weak, he mentioned that it is not only the issue of Arabs and Palestinians, but also is the concern of every son of Adam who has a sense of dignity for innocents and care for human rights, while Dr. Shamim Ahmed Al-Riyadi, former director of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth in Nepal, highlighted the greatness of the Holy Qur'an and the virtues of its memorization in the Islamic texts, in doing so, he came with the multitude of verses and hadiths and the understanding of the predecessors for them in the appreciation of the memorizers of the Qur'an in the sight of God Almighty.

This was followed by awards ceremony : the distribution of certificates of appreciation and participation and monetary prizes amounting to 15,000 for  the first place, 12,000 for the second place, 10,000 for the third place and 1,500 a humble amount of encouragement for the rest of the participants, bus fare for both sides was reimbursed , and one beg for each was handed as well , at the hands of highly eminent scholars and prominent figures coming from multiple institutions, social organizations and Islamic and modern schools. This was attended by many dignitaries and celebrities, Among the most prominent of them are Sheikh Taher Ahmed, the representative of the Ramah International Society Kuwait to the Republic, Sheikh Ghulam Rasool Al-Falahi, President of Al-Hesra, Sheikh Shafiq Rahman Al-Qasimi, Vice President of the Association of Nepalese Scholars, Sheikh Athar Ali Al-Falahi, Secretary General of the Islami Sangh Nepal, Prof. Dr. Imran Ansari,former President of Al-Hesra, Dr. Shamim Ahmed Al-Riyadi, former Director of Al-Wami to Nepal and a member of the Central Advisory committee for the Islami Sangh Nepal, Sheikh Siraj Ahmed Barakatullah Al-Falahi, president of the Lumbini(Eastern) subordinated to  Islami Sangh Nepal  and its central member of advisory council, Sheikh Dr. Manzoor Ahmed Al-Madani, general supervisor of the monthly magazine "Al-Bayyna", Engineer Thanaullah and Prof. Dr. Abu Al-Kalam to Nepal open university.

When it comes to the closing remarks, the chairperson of the program, Sheikh Khurshid Alam Al-Islahi, immensely praised the success of the competition through its contribution in the act of encouraging the children of Muslims in various parts of the Republic. this work exceeded more than two decades – with some gaps - to hold competition in faith, memorization the words of God Almighty, and link Muslims to the book of their Lord. he extended a lot of gratitude to the efforts of the society in caring for and paying a particular attention to memorizing the Holy Book of God, reciting it, understanding it and interpreting it. He explained that the society has previously invited all Islamic institutions, associations and Islamic schools all across the Republic to register in the competition with no entry fees and attached all the conditions that must be met in the contestant in its current session, as he praised the good management of the competition and its improvement year after year, stressing his strong hope with the students' he said that these students are now qualified enough to participate in the international competition, God willing. He concluded with his words about the Palestinian issue and called for it and asked the audience to supplicate before Allah to solve it.

It is worth mentioning that the jury of the national competition consisted of: Sheikh Muhammad Idris Saidi, Scholar of Jamiatul Islah al-Islamia Sunsari, the reciter Ziau Rahman Al-Seraji, President of Madarsa Dar Al-Salam, Kapilwastu, and Nurul Huda Ansari, General Supervisor of Da'wah in Islami Sangh Nepal.

At the end, We ask Allah ,be He exalted, to reward everyone who participated in bringing any success to this competition and May He accept our efforts and raise our status and help us to increase our faith in the Book of Him and its service . Ameen !
