Introduction to the Holy Qur’an Program held at Rashtriya Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Shobhanpur

Date: Sunday, 24th August 2025
Venue: Rashtriya Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Shobhanpur

A special program titled “Introduction to the Holy Qur’an” was organized today at the premises of Rashtriya Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Shobhanpur. The event was attended by teachers and students (around 75 in total), along with the School Management Committee President, the Principal, Vice-Principal, and the local unit president Mr. Shahabuddin Falahi, Mr. Fareed Alam Islahi, and Mr. Jalaluddin Salafi. Teachers and staff from Milli Model Academy also participated. In total, the number of attendees exceeded 100.

The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by a comprehensive introduction to the Qur’an, highlighting:

  • The Qur’an as the Word of Allah.
  • The Qur’an as a guidance for all mankind.
  • Its emphasis on morality, monotheism, and the way of life.
  • The rights of the Qur’an: to believe in it, to read it, to understand it, to live by it, and to convey its message.

Distinguished scholars Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Falahi and Mr. Tahir Husain Nadwi delivered enlightening speeches. The welcome address was presented by Mr. Shahabuddin, Unit Ameer.

In his remarks, the Principal expressed gratitude, recalling that about ten years ago, through Mr. Abdul Wasi, the school first received copies of the Qur’an and several programs were held. He emphasized:

  • The Qur’an belongs to all humanity.
  • It is for reading, understanding, and establishing peace, not merely for ceremonial use.
  • A person who truly reads the Qur’an cannot be an extremist, as the Qur’an teaches peace, justice, and harmony.

The program concluded with words of thanks by the School Management Committee President and Chairman of the session, Mr. Shamsul Haq Mansoori, who encouraged everyone to study the Qur’an.

At the closing, 13 copies of the Nepali translation of the Qur’an were gifted to the teachers, additional copies were donated to the school library, and about 40 copies were distributed among students as a trust (Amanah).

The program lasted for about one hour and ended with prayers that Allah make it beneficial, fruitful, and a means of guidance for all.
